Before You Book
What type of spa is Kayluz?
Kayluz is an integrative health practice specializing in clinically researched skin health and wellness therapies. All treatments and consultations combine various modalities to provide you with a comprehensive therapy session.
Where are you located?
We are in a suite inside of Hair Studio 309. It is located at 309 Walnut Street, Elmira, NY 14901.
What should I expect when I arrive?
You will pull into a parking lot and park next to the brick building. When you first walk in, you will enter the salon area, where the friendly staff of Hair Studio 309 will be. On your left, you will find a waiting area for you to sit in while you wait for your appointment to begin. For your convenience, the bathroom is located in that same area. Shortly before your appointment, the therapist will come greet you and take you into the suite to give you time to change and get situated.
Can you come to me?
Yes, we provide fully customized mobile services under Group Packages and Exclusive Day Packages. These take place in the comfort of your home or at your chosen location. Call us to discuss your options.
How do I book a service?
All services are by appointment only. It is best to use the contact form to contact us, as we may be in the middle of an appointment. Please leave a detailed message and we will call you as soon as we can.
Do I need to pay for services at time of booking?
Most services do not require advance payment. However, a credit card is required to schedule all appointments. All packages require payment at time of booking.
What is the cancellation policy?
As a courtesy, we ask that a 48-hour notice be given for any cancellations or rescheduling. Your credit card will be charged the full service fee for cancellations with less than 48-hours notice or no-shows. If you are late for your appointment, you will be subject to the full rate with reduced treatment time. Depending on the time and type of service, the therapist may not be able to accommodate you and you will be subject to the full rate.
What should I bring with me?
You do not need to bring anything in particular with you. We provide everything you need for each treatment.
What if I have special health concerns?
It is essential that all health concerns be communicated to the therapist prior to skincare treatments. First time guests must fill out a confidential personal health form before receiving any treatments.
If you have any medical conditions, we recommend you talk to your healthcare provider before booking any treatments.
What services can I have during pregnancy?
There are certain treatments that are not suitable during your first trimester or with certain conditions. Contact us and we will assist you in selecting the right treatments for you. We are happy to accommodate you during this special time in your life.

Do you offer any other services?
We offer custom services through our skincare consultations and wellness consultations. If you are interested in a treatment or service that we do not have listed, please ask. We will do our best to accommodate you.
Should I shower before a skincare treatment?
We recommend you shower before a skincare treatment. It is hygienic and polite to do so. Clean skin will also benefit the most from all treatments and will allow the products to absorb more readily.
Should I eat before a skincare treatment?
We do not recommend consuming food before receiving most body treatments, as it may cause nausea during treatment. A fruit or granola bar is suitable if need be.
Can I consume alcohol before or after a skincare treatment?
We do not recommend drinking alcohol before or immediately after a skincare treatment, as it could have health implications.
What is the minimum age for services?
For skincare treatments we start at age 14, but a parent or legal guardian must be present to sign consent forms before all treatments can begin. For skincare or wellness consultations we start at age 12, but a parent or legal guardian must be present with anyone under the age of 18 to sign consent forms before consultations can begin.
